Workshops & Retreats

Sometimes life gets busy and it is hard to find time for you in the hectic daily schedule, let alone the time to connect with your inner self, reflect on your life experiences, and renew your passions.

During Mother Haven’s workshops and retreats you will have the opportunity as a busy woman, to do something rare - take time out for you. In the span of a few hours, you will feel  relaxed, rejuvenated, and inspired as you move forward in your life.

Mother Haven & Eco Yoga Adventures Present:

A Hiking and Yoga Mountain Retreat for Women

September 5-7, 2014

Experience the serenity and healing power of Mother Nature, enjoy delicious mountain cuisine, and a luxurious lodge on this weekend retreat designed for the busy woman.

Over the course of the weekend you will revel in spectacular mountain scenery, secret hiking trails, and participate in an outdoor yoga session high in an alpine setting. Attune to nature and your inner self in a guided meditative walk through one of the most stunning mountain settings in the world.

Research shows that spending time in natural environments improves our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Unwind and rejuvenate your spirit as you slow down the pace of your life. All you have to do is show up; your instructors will take care of the rest.

Itinerary

Friday, September 5
Meet at Baker Creek Chalets in the Heritage Hall Conference room at 7pm for welcome tea and treats.   Afterward, you will get to know the other participants in an opening circle and discussion.  You will then settle in for an evening of yoga and yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is deeply relaxing and will help you let go of any concerns so you can be fully present for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday, September 6
After a delicious breakfast we will head out for a full day hike in the stunning Larch Valley. On the trail enjoy a guided meditative walk and an alpine yoga practice (weather permitting). After you return from your hike and eat a hearty supper, there will be some downtime followed by a  guided discussion on calming the busy mind.
Sunday, September 7
Awake to a gentle morning yoga practice to loosen any stiff muscles from the day before. After breakfast, there is an optional guided meditative walk.
